I must apologise, I’m notorious for starting things I don’t fini

But I can assure you that this six day hiatus was for a very worthy reason. Essentially I gave the missus the book and she ripped it to shreds so it’s undergone another hefty proof read which has half killed me this week.
The upshot of this is that it’s nearly error free, possesses much better punctuation and it’s ready to go to the printers on Monday. So I’ve been finishing something else.
And like this pie-based feature, it’s only merely a week behind schedule which might even get retrieved depending on how smooth the printing process is.
So I’m back and firstly thanks for those of you buying the book in the meantime. Secondly, here’s a pie for you.
Southampton have been in the news this week due to their football club being looted and pillaged of its finest young talent and Saints fans mustn’t know which way to turn right now.
Well, my advice is to turn to the pie shop, because pies will never let you down like your gum chewing idols. Plested Pies in Southampton is a busy and traditional little establishment in the suburb of Shirley.

They do a mean steak and kidney and a range of fruit pies at a reasonable price. Buy one, eat it, then saunter across the road to the Wetherspoons to discuss who’s leaving next with the Burberry capped old boys sat outside.
There’s another 313 pies like the above featured in Life of Pies. If you want to order a copy of the book for just £9.99 plus postage please click this link to order www.lifeofpies.co.uk/buy
You’ll receive it in around er……..88 days!
